SAN RAFAEL -- California Bank & Trust, based in San Rafael, appointed Michael Kadel as senior vice president and business center manager for the North Bay.

Mr. Kadel has worked more than 24 years in the banking industry, including positions in regional branch management, commercial and business banking, relationship management, lending, private banking, sales management and banking operations.
“The opportunity to join California Bank & Trust and continue serving California’s North Bay business community is exciting for me as a banking professional," Mr. Kadel said in a statement.
Mr. Kadel previously served as regional manager for Bank of Marin, where he oversaw five retail branches in the Marin area.
Mr. Kadel earned a bachelor of science degree from Kansas State University in agricultural economics and has a master’s in executive management from Pacific Coast Banking School. He served as president of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce and the Marin Economic Forum.
Mr. Kadel has chaired Hospice by the Bay and California Family Health Council.
