The city of Fairfield is offering scholarships for Solano College’s Small Business Development Center NxLevel Small Business Training Program, worth about $375. Health Care

Alliance Medical Center hosted a grand opening for its Windsor facility at 8465 Old Redwood Hwy. on Sept. 20.

Healdsburg District Hospital received an “exceeding patient expectations award” and “five-star loyalty and endorsement award” from the Avatar International organization. The hospital ranked within the 3 percent for inpatient experience of the 350 hospitals included in the survey.

Manufacturing

Santa Rosa-based stainless steel manufacturer P & L Specialties received a patent for its grape berry sorting machine called Le Trieur on Sept. 1.
