Napa Valley CPA firm splits

NAPA and St. Helena — G&J Seiberlich & Co. LLP, a CPA firm formed in 1950, today announced it has split into two firms, with partners in the St. Helena office forming Brown Holder Alfaro & Co. LLP.

The change is set to take effect Dec. 1

G&J Seiberlich (Web site) will remain in Napa, led by managing partner Greg Bennett as well as partners Wendell Coats and Laura Wintz.

Partners in St. Helena forming the new firm are Robert Holder, Kevin Alfaro, Leonard LaBranche Jr., Breton Blyth, Warren Warner Jr. and Danielle Sandoval.

Dale Brown, who became a partner of G&J Seiberlich in 1975 and later retired, is guiding the new firm, according to the statement.

G&J Seiberlich was the second-largest CPA firm in the North Bay in 2008 with 55 employees and 23 CPAs, according to Business Journal research.
