California economy topic of luncheon event

PETALUMA — Author Joel Kotkin will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon Nov. 6 at the Sheraton in Petaluma on the topic of “Who Killed the California Economy?” The event is co-sponsored by the North Coast Builders Exchange, the North Bay Leadership Council, the Sonoma County Alliance, the Marin Builders Association and the Northern California Engineering Contractors Association.

Mr. Kotkin will discuss who is responsible for California’s high unemployment, declining property values, retail closures and state and local budget crises as well as what the solutions are.
