NOVATO — Circle Bank announced today that it received formal approval from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to open a seven-day a week, full-service branch in San Francisco’s Noe Valley.

Kim Kaselionis, president and chief executive officer of the bank, said Circle targeted March 2010 as the date for opening the location, at 3936-3938 24th Street, adjacent to a new Whole Foods Market.  The Circle Bank branch will be the only community bank in Noe Valley.

“With nearly half of our current loan portfolio already in San Francisco,” Ms. Kaselionis said. “we will feel right at home in the Noe Valley.”

The branch will be open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  It will also offer on-site decision-makers, community areas and a wide-screen television and areas for children and pets.
