Nelson named president of TechWorkers in San Ramon

SONOMA — Mark Nelson, the former president of Nelson Family of Companies in Sonoma, has been named president and chief operating officer of TechWorkers, the San Ramon-based company announced Thursday.

Mr. Nelson will oversee TechWorkers strategic oversight and the company’s daily operations, including sales, service delivery and account management. With over 20 years experience in Sonoma, Mr. Nelson helped NFC grow to a $400 million workforce management and talent acquisition firm. In 2008, he moved to the NFC board of directors and started a business and consulting firm, The Mark Nelson Group.

TechWorkers, which specializes in technical staffing and human capital services, says it has grown more than 20 percent in the past year.

“Coupled with the incredible market opportunity in the contingent workforce, and the managed service space, joining the TechWorkers team provides the perfect fit,” Mr. Nelson said in a statement.
