Inertia names new CEO

Inertia Beverage Group logoNAPA — Wine direct-to-consumer and direct-to-trade conduit Inertia Beverage Group named Joseph Waechter as its new chief executive officer, effective March 4.

Mr. Waechter is the former president and CEO of DHL Worldwide Express and worked most recently as managing director of California Pacific Capital.

“Joe’s logistics and fulfillment experience makes him a perfect fit for his new job at IBG as it continues to build the most full-featured end-to-end platform for e-commerce and its constituent parts for online sales in the wine industry,” said IBG Chairman Dave Manougian.

Mr. Waechter takes over the CEO role from Ted Jansen, who left the company to be with family in Seattle.
