		<description>Great article. It’s encouraging to see that the U.S. is becoming increasingly (although still with some hesitance) receptive this technological upgrade. Australia and New Zealand do seem to have much more readily embraced it, as evidenced by the number of screw cap wines I taste from these areas (virtually 100%). I am a proponent of the screw cap closure for various reasons; that said, I can understand that there is still some romance ascribed to extracting a cork, and it may take many more years before the screw cap “dollar-a-gallon” wine stigma is dismantled. I actually had a woman call into Wine of the Month Club the other day and her membership because she had received a screw cap wine.
