Salvation Army raising funds on St. Patty’s Day

SANTA ROSA – The Salvation Army Santa Rosa Corps will be ringing bells to raise money on St. Patrick’s Day, March, 17. Funds raised will go toward the organization’s programs, including family services, providing emergency food, utilities and rent assistance; tutoring and mentoring in elementary schools; cooperative living, offering a home for men seeking rehabilitation from drug and alcohol abuse; social activities for teens; a boxing club for boys and girls; and activities for seniors.

Bell ringers with green kettles will be stationed from noon to 6 p.m. at non-restaurant sites and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. at restaurants. Locations include: Safeway on Fourth Street, Calistoga Road and Yulupa; CVS on Fourth Street; Lucky in Montgomery Village; Walgreens on Highway 12 and Marlow Road; G&G in Santa Rosa; Oliver’s on Stony Point; The Nutty Irishman; Sweet River Restaurant; John Barleycorn’s; Cricklewood Restaurant; Third Street Aleworks; Quincy’s Pub in Rohnert Park; Russian River Brewing Co.; and Stout Brothers.
