NORTH BAY — Nominations for the Business Journal’s Women in Business awards close Friday, April 16. To submit a nomination, fill out the online form or download the PDF (see the online form for a link) and send to 427 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401 or fax to 707-521-5292.

The gala event on June 24 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Women in Business Awards, honoring outstanding women in the North Bay for their success and contributions to the business community as leaders, innovators and visionaries. Winners will also be featured in a special publication June 28.

Over the past 10 years, the Business Journal has honored more than 80 women leading local organizations with their keen insight, courage and creativity. Past winners have shown themselves to be women running, owning or influencing major policy and strategies at their organizations with impactful results. Those honored in the past have served as models for female business leaders and young women throughout the North Bay, while providing all of us with insights into the achievements of women in various disciplines.

Nominations are sought in categories such as banking and finance, construction, employment, health care, hospitality and tourism, insurance, nonprofits, real estate, technology and wine. Nominations in other professional categories not listed will also be considered.

Winners must work in Sonoma, Napa, Marin or Solano counties. Winners are chosen based on qualifications and not the number of nominations received. Supporting documents are welcome but will not replace the nomination form.

I am truly interested in nominating someone in the cultural
entertainment field. Her name is CAROL SAVOY and she has operated Fantastic Feet Dance Studio for over 35 years. She has
served the community of Petaluma, taught men, women and children.
Hosted Flamenco shows, famous NYC tap dance workshops and is always supportive to everyone she comes in contact with. The category of culture, entertainment and the ARTS is essential for
our county. Please honor CAROL SAVOY.
