Siduri, Novy expand

SANTA ROSA – Warehouse winery pioneers Siduri Wines and Novy Family Wines plan to relocate in July to 27,000 square feet of efficiently designed space in the same northwest Santa Rosa industrial development where they have been since their inception 12 years ago, according to co-owner Adam Lee.

"Many people say the economy is challenged and think it's not a good time to move, but our business has been pretty decent," he said.

The extra space will allow Siduri to reduce rent expense by moving casegood storage for California distributors from Sonoma County Vintners Co-Op in house, Mr. Lee said.

Both operations produce 18,000 cases annually, and sales were off by 2.4 percent last year. For the first four months of this year, sales were 14 percent higher than the same period last year. Siduri wines range average around $30 a bottle with some single-vineyard pinot noir wines retailing for $50.
