The Anderson Valley Brewing Co. in Booneville launched its summer season High Rollers Wheat beer, using the Boontling name for the Yorkville Region in the Anderson Valley of Mendocino County.

Assemblyman Jared Huffman presented his monthly Sustainable North Bay Award to ET Water Systems Inc. of Novato. The company produces irrigation control systems that combine horticulture science and proprietary Web-based technology to automate the scheduling of sprinkler and drip irrigation for commercial, municipal and residential landscapes.
Health Care
Petaluma-based Oculus Innovative Sciences Inc. introduced the Microcyn Negative-Pressure Wound Therapy Solution for the U.S. professional health care market. Microcyn is intended for the irrigation and management of wounds via these advanced systems.
Hospitality
Cavallo Point Lodge near Sausalito annouced a Super Summer Family Package, including accommodations in one of its historic and contemporary rooms or suites, free meals for children up to age 12 and one day’s admission at the Bay Area Discovery Museum for up to five family members.
Technology
Novato-based Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp. acquired an exclusive worldwide license to intellectual property related to the potential treatment of Huntington’s Disease from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and Niigata University in Japan. In addition, Raptor has added Professor Lawrence Steinman, M.D., an inventor on the Weizmann patent, to its advisory board.
Roxio, a division of Sonic Solutions in Novato, announced that Asustek Computer has selected Roxio CinePlayer for worldwide shipment with its next-generation 3D-enabled G-series notebook computers.
Transportation
Toll plaza changes designed to speed travel for carpoolers are coming this month to the Antioch and Richmond-San Rafael bridges. Beginning in mid-June, carpoolers can use dedicated high-occupancy vehicle lanes at the far left side of the bridges’ toll plazas, eliminating the need to stop at a staffed toll booth.
Wine
Glen Ellen-based B.R. Cohn released 2008 Doobie Red, a blend of French oak aged Bordeaux style varietals. Mr. Cohn was career-long manager of the Doobie Brothers rock band.
The Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association in the Napa Valley released its limited edition Appellation Collection comprised entirely of cabernet sauvignon from a single appellation, a compilation represented by one bottle each from the association’s 19 member wineries.
Terlato Wines in the Napa Valley partnered with golfer Jack Nicklaus and his family on Jack Nicklaus Wines, a new line of handcrafted, limited-production wines from the Napa Valley. The first bottles of the inaugural vintage will be uncorked by Mr. Nicklaus at a private event at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland, globally recognized as the birthplace of golf.
Sonoma-based Winery Insider, a members-only, private wine sale company, and Humanitas Wine Co. in Napa, partnered on World Oceans Day, donating 100 percent of the profits of Humanitas wines sold by Winery Insider to ocean-related organizations to support ocean conservation and oil spill relief efforts.
