Winzler & Kelly establishes general contracting division

SANTA ROSA — Engineering and environmental consulting firm Winzler & Kelly launched a licensed general contracting subsidiary.

Winzler & Kelly Constructors adds construction management, design-build and project delivery services, according to President Stephen Cox, P.E., S.E., also vice president and chief operating officer of Winzler & Kelly.

“By teaming with our clients from project scoping through final construction, we can help define realistic project goals and schedules, streamline communication between the owner, the designer and the contractor and minimize the delays and unexpected costs that are so often associates with building projects,” Mr. Cox said.

The five-decade-old parent company has been offering management services for construction projects and sites, including construction quality control contracts for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.

Winzler & Kelly has 11 offices in California, Oregon, Guam and Saipan. The firm was ranked No. 217 out of 500 design firms on trade journal Engineering News-Record’s April tally. Last year, it was ranked No. 264.
