Kathryn Santos Amos has been named sales manager for the Business Journal and Paul Pastorino has come on board as an account executive. Ms. Santos Amos has been with the Business Journal since 2006 as an account executive and is a past member of the board of directors for the human resources professionals’ organization, PASCO. Mr. Pastorino previously was with the Business Journal from 1995 to 2001. He comes to the Journal from the Press Democrat where he has worked since 2002.
Banking & Finance
Linda Wilson, application support manager of Exchange Bank in Santa Rosa, was promoted to assistant vice president. Ms. Wilson joined the bank in 2005 as a project management office manager.
Construction
Santa Rosa engineering firm BKF/Carlenzoli hired Joscelyn Lievore as business development and marketing coordinator. Ms. Lievore worked for a number of years with a local solar company and has more than nine years experience in sales, marketing, customer service and office management.
Employment
Michael Lusby was named regional vice president of staffing company Robert Half International, overseeing offices in Novato, Santa Rosa and Fairfield. Mr. Lusby joined the company in 2008 and has more than 12 years experience in the staffing industry.
Health Care
Dr. Brad Drexler, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist in Healdsburg, is opening a satellite office in Santa Rosa at the offices of Spring Creek Family Practice.
Healdsburg facial plastic surgeon Dr. Stanley Jacobs was chosen to present his medical paper, “Facial Skin Visco-elasticity Measurements after Topical Mandelic Acid,” at the annual American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Nonprofit Organizations
The American Red Cross, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties elected to its board of directors: Eileen Adams, longtime Red Cross volunteer, board chair; Robert Cantu, president of Western Builders, first vice-chair; Shawn Hoover, environmental operations supervisor of Pacific Gas & Electric, second vice-chair; Tyler Comstock, executive vice president and CFO of Jackson Family Wines, third vice-chair; Marion Maassen, director of finance of Medtronic, treasurer; and Bill Newlin of State Farm Insurance (retired), secretary. New board members are Andy Bannister, Tyler Comstock, Stacy Drucker-Andress, Cindy Gillespie, Mike Purvis and Greg Retsinas.
Jane Doroff, director of senior meals for the Council on Aging, was elected to the Meals on Wheels Association of America board of directors. Ms. Doroff has more than 25 years in food service, including director of the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program for the past 14 years.
Jean Kapolchok of Jean Kapolchok & Associates was elected to a two-year term as chair of the Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire board of directors. Also elected for two-year terms were Steve Jameson, vice chair; Dave Foster, treasurer; and Dennis Carrera, secretary.
Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael named Etta Allen chair of its board of directors. Ms. Allen, president of Allen Heating & Sheet Metal and Sunny Slope Vineyard, most recently served as second vice chair.
Real Estate
Frank Howard Allen appointed Michael Sommer manager of the Petaluma office and Daunielle Cutting manager of the Novato office. Mr. Sommer, except for two brief absences, has been with the company since 1976. Ms. Cutting was most recently Novato branch manager with Coldwell Banker.
Wine
The Napa Valley Grapegrowers board of directors elected David Beckstoffer president. Mr. Beckstoffer is president of Beckstoffer Vineyards, the largest non-winery owned grapegrower in the North Coast region of California.
St. Helena-based wine sales and marketing firm Wilson Daniels Ltd. appointed Greg Ralston vice president of portfolio development and strategic initiatives. Mr. Ralston was most recently managing director of Chateau Montelena. April Sack was named director of public relations. Ms. Sack was most recently director of public relations at Sopexa USA, a marketing agency in New York.
Brian Kelleher was named national sales manager of Healdsburg-based Wine Creek LLC, the sales, importing and marketing company for Quivira Vineyards & Winery, Torbreck Vintners and La Follette Wines. Mr. Kelleher was recently northwest regional manager at Vincor.
