Accounting

CPA firm Beels Soper LLP named Ali Pourghadir senior associate in its Petaluma office. Mr. Pourghadir was most recently with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in San Francisco.

Construction

Domenica Sheets of TLCD Architecture in Santa Rosa passed the CID (Certified Interior Designer) exam, the only legally recognized and protected title for interior designers in California.

Marketing

Ron Neuerburg

Ron Neuerburg joined the sales team at Promoco, a promotional marketing company in Petaluma. Mr. Neuerburg, formerly of Neuerburg’s Garment Lettering in Rohnert Park, has been in the embroidery and promotional products industry for 34 years.

Katy Makstutis

Katy Makstutis has joined the Business Journal as an account executive. Her sales and marketing experience includes work with Nelson Family of Companies, REI and CBS Radio.

Nonprofit Organizations

Pauline Basaran joined the board of directors of Casa Allegra Community Services in San Rafael, which serves people with developmental disabilities in Marin. Ms. Basaran is a principal at PAC Systems of Corte Madera.

Kathryn Fong

Katheryn Fong was named executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. Ms. Fong was formerly senior vice president at Fireman’s Fund Insurance, vice president at PG&E and vice president and district manager at Wells Fargo Bank.

Novato-based Homeward Bound of Marin named Paul Fordham deputy director following the retirement of Bob Puett, who will join the board of directors. Jeff Woo was named director of operations.

The Marin Community Foundation appointed Elizabeth Brown vice president for programs, overseeing the foundation’s grantmaking and loans. For the past two years Ms. Brown served as vice president for philanthropic services, overseeing fundraising and donor services.

Technology

San Rafael-based ClairMail Inc. named Carl Tsukahara vice president and chief marketing officer. Mr. Tsukahara was an owner and principal at Marketing Arts, a strategic marketing consulting company, and also held management positions at Oracle, Hewlett-Packard and Vitria Technology.
