SAN FRANCISCO -- Constellation Wines U.S., part of New York-based drinks conglomerate Constellation Brands, is bolstering its team responsible for luxury brands such as Robert Mondavi and Franciscan Estates with Pierre Noique in a newly created position as vice president of luxury wines and a new sales team devoted to such brands.

Mr. Noique will report to Marty Birkel, president of sales for the San Francisco-based business unit.

"The luxury wine category is one of the most important parts of our business, and we are well poised to focus on the incredible luxury brands within our portfolio and the best way to bring them to market while responding to consumers needs," said Jay Wright, president of Constellation Wines North America.

Mr. Noique comes to Constellation after nine years at The Coppola Companies' Rutherford winery Rubicon Estate, formerly Niebaum-Coppola. His roles there were Midwest region manager, Western Division sales director and most recently vice president of national sales and marketing.

Previous positions were Midwest regional manager for Martin Sinkoff Wines in Chicago and area export sales manager at Vignerons du Val D'Obrieu in France.
