Stacy Magill

Stacy Magill, CFO of Ghilotti Construction Co., joined the board of the Climate Protection Campaign. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California State Society of Certified Public Accountants, serves as a board member of the Bay Area Council and as a board alternate for the North Bay Leadership Council.

Hospitality & Tourism

Graham and Andrea Zanow opened Graham’s Take-Away Foods at Oxbow Public Market in Napa, offering locally sourced breakfast, lunch and dinner items for take home or dine-in. Mr. and Mrs. Zanow are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and Chef Graham Zanow worked at the French Laundry in Yountville.

Wine

Kathryn Rhoads D’Argenzio, co-owner of D’Argenzio Winery in Burbank and Santa Rosa and sister to the late Randy Rhoads, lead guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot, joined the Rhoads family to release the Rhoads special edition 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon to honor Mr. Rhoads since his tragic and sudden death while on tour with Ozzy in 1982. The limited edition wine is available only at the Santa Rosa and Burbank tasting rooms and also through the website. dargenziowine.com.

Matthew Stamp of the French Laundry in Yountville won the title of TOP|SOMM and the accompanying Robert Mondavi Trophy in the inaugural U.S. Sommelier Championship, hosted by the Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation. One hundred and eighty five sommeliers took part in the competition.

Owen Smith

Owen Smith was hired as director of winemaking for Weibel Family Vineyards & Winery at the winery’s Hopland and Lodi winemaking facilities. Mr. Smith was most recently senior winemaker for the Toasted Head red wine program for Constellation Wines.
