NCES to provide free solar

NORTH BAY — North Coast Energy Services will offer free solar electric systems funded by the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program to qualifying homeowners in Solano, Napa, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake and Yolo counties.

NCES will use Real Goods Solar and Gaia Energy Systems to install the systems and provide weatherization.

Up to 50 homes in Lake and Mendocino counties will be retrofitted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and an additional 100 homes will be retrofitted in Sonoma, Solano, Napa, Marin and Yolo counties. Qualification for the program is based on the number of people in the home and current income. For more information, call North Coast Energy Services 707-463-0303.
