Conservation Corps North Bay will hold an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony of its Cotati location on Sept. 1 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. In the year since it’s opened in Sonoma County, it has enrolled more than 30 at-risk Sonoma County youth in natural resources management and community recycling programs, restoring 16 acres of wildlife habitat and constructing 14 miles of trail and diverting 60,381 pounds of recyclable materials from landfill in Sonoma County.

Wine

Participants in the 14th Kendall-Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival on Sept. 11 at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Center will be provided free access to breath-alcohol tests. San Francisco-based breathalyzer maker KHN Solutions will have a booth at the event and will provide free tests to anyone who wants one.
