Santa Rosa Community Health Centers names chief medical officer

SANTA ROSA – Santa Rosa Community Health Centers announced Dr. Francisco Trilla as the new chief medical officer, overseeing clinical programs at all eight of its centers with “an emphasis on access and quality.”
Dr. Trilla previously worked at Beth Israel Deacones Medical Center, which is a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, from where he graduated in 1980.
He was also chair of the licensing committee for the Massachusetts’ Board of Registration Medicine and was the medical director of Atreva Health Care in Jamaica Plain, Mass., just outside of Boston. In addition, he was regional medical director of MinuteClinic and an assistant clinical professor at Harvard Medical School. He trained at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and also served in the Health Service Corps.
Dr. Trilla’s hiring comes as the Santa Rosa Community Health Centers, formerly known as Southwest, prepares to open its newest and largest health center, the Vista Family Health Center on Round Barn Circle, which will serve an additional 9,500 patients on top of the 25,000 already served in Santa Rosa.
The new center will absorb the Chanate Family Practice Center, the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency and the Humbolt Street Clinic, which provides services to AIDS and HIV patients that used to receive care from the county, whose program was taken over by the health centers in June.
