Impact Sonoma forum Oct. 19 all about jobs and the future

ROHNERT PARK – The inaugural Business Journal Impact Sonoma conference will feature leaders in the fastest-growing segments of the local business community talking about jobs, jobs, jobs.

What does it take to create them? What are the conditions that spur innovation and bring wealth, well-paid work and tax revenues to the community?

To be held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 at the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park, the conference will give participants the chance to hear the answers from several successful business leaders.

Jay Abbe, former CEO of Optical Coating Laboratory and former president and COO of JDS Uniphase, will address the key elements a community must develop to foster growth.

He’ll be followed by panels including Dan Russo, vice president of marketing and communications for Horizon Air; Jill Kinney, managing director of Clubsource Development Partners and co-founder of fast-growing Club One Inc.; Douglas Clark, CEO of Santa Rosa’s newest software company, Metier; Steven Harrison of venture-funded medical device maker TriVascular; and Bill Beyer, COO of ultra-short pulse laser maker Raydiance.

The future of energy innovation and what it means to business will be addressed by micro-inverter pioneer and industry leader Enphase Energy along with other experts.
