SAN RAFAEL – Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center was named among 65 organizations in the Leapfrog Group's annual list of top hospitals. They were selected from a field of 1,200 organizations that volunteered to publicly report their performance via a Leapfrog survey that measures performance in crucial areas of patient safety and quality. Results are available to view at www.leapfroggroup.org.
Survey participation "represents an enormous commitment by the institution to not only measure what they do against tough standards, but also to work for change and be transparent about it," said Leapfrog CEO Leah Binder.
The Leapfrog Group is an independent organization of public and private purchasers of employee health coverage that works for improvements in health care safety, quality and affordability.
