Basin Street names Birdsall regional partner

PETALUMA -- Basin Street Properties named Tom Birdsall, co-founder of the company's hotel ventures, as regional partner, overseeing all Northern California projects and properties.

Mr. Birdsall will continue to manage all Northern California and Nevada properties for Basin Street Hospitality, which he and company President Matt White started in 2007. New duties include operations, leasing, marketing, construction, property acquisition, repositioning and disposition as well as overall growth --  while continuing to manage Basin Street Hospitality in California and Nevada, the company said.

"I am excited to dedicate 100 percent to Basin Street's onward growth in the North Bay and Sacramento regions," Mr. Birdsall said. "The company is deeply rooted in Northern California and understands the needs of local businesses and residents."

Mr. White credits Mr. Birdsall with the turnaround of Petaluma's Sheraton Sonoma County, considered a top performer in the region.

Previously, Mr. Birdsall was president of the Sonoma Mountain Group of hotels.

Basin Street Properties owns and manages more than 1.2 million square feet of office, retail, hospitality and mixed use developments in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
