PETALUMA — The Petaluma Health Care District board at its most recent meeting declared the current site of the Petaluma Health Center at 1301 Southpoint Blvd. a surplus asset, the first formal step in selling the building or leasing the space.

With the health center poised to move in June to its new home — a $15 million, 53,000 square-foot building on North McDowell Boulevard –  the building on Southpoint will become empty, allowing the health care district to seek a new tenant or to sell it outright.

Informal appraisals on the 11,500 square-foot Southpoint building put the value at around $1.8 million to $2 million, according to health care district controller Rick Nadale.

The property includes about 60 parking spaces, and the building consists of mostly medical office space.

For more information on the property, contact Mr. Nadale at 707-285-2143.
