ET Water receives $2 million investment

Funds to accelerate product development, sales and marketing, and meet growing demand for 'smart irrigation' products, services

NOVATO -- ET Water Systems, Inc., a green technology services company that specializes in water conservation, management and smart irrigation control, closed a $2 million round of funding.

The series C round was subscribed to by existing leading investors.

The company plans to use the funds to support new product introductions, including the recently announced HermitCrab accessory. It converts conventional irrigation controllers to web-connected "smart" systems.

Additional uses of funds include research and development and marketing programs to accelerate the sales of ET Water's patented water conservation and smart irrigation products and services.

ET Water technologies are designed to reduce water consumption by 20 percent to 50 percent-plus and improve landscape irrigation efficiency for thousands of customers across the U.S., including property owners, property managers, landscape contractors and managers, municipalities and other public entities, water districts and water purveyors.

ET Water was started in 2002 to develop "intelligent irrigation management," via the Internet-linked software, database technology, horticulture science, weather data and wireless smart controllers. The goal is to reduce water use, simplify administration, improve landscape quality and reduce runoff pollution.
