Mr. Alfaro, 45, who started at the firm as an intern and became a partner in 1999, will succeed current managing partner Robert Holder, effective June 1.

Mr. Holder, 66, who is staying with the company, called the transition a “natural evolution” in the life of the business.

“We’re very excited to see this next generation of partners, led by Kevin, stepping into leadership roles,” Mr. Holder said.

“I am thrilled to assume the position of managing partner this coming June,” Mr. Alfaro said. “I see this role as continuing on with our rich tradition of a strong client service and unparalleled wine industry technical expertise.”

For more than 60 years Brown Holder Alfaro has provided accounting, tax, and business consulting services to individuals and companies of all sizes across a wide geographic area. Originally part of now Napa-based G&J Seiberlich & Co., Brown Holder Alfaro was formed in December 2009. A majority of its clients are in the wine industry.

In addition to Mr. Holder and Mr. Alfaro, the firm’s partners include Dale Brown, Breton Blyth, Warren Warner, Jr., and Danielle Sandoval. The company has 24 associates and a satellite office, in Folsom.
