U.S. economic growth will accelerate late this year and the chances of a double-dip recession are "completely blown out of proportion," according to economist Christopher Thornberg, who will be the keynote speaker at the Business Journal's Impact Napa conference Sept. 1 in Napa.
"I may sound like Mr. Optimism," Dr. Thornberg said in an interview this week with the Journal. "I forecast acceleration in growth through the end of this year. I think we'll see something like 3 percent to 3.5 percent by the end of this year," he said. "Fears of a double-dip are completely blown out of proportion"
