2011 Healthiest Companies nominations close Friday

Nominations for the North Bay Business Journal’s Healthiest Companies in the North Bay competition will be closing Friday, Sept. 9.

To nominate a deserving company, use the online form at www.NorthBayBusinessJournal.com/37694. Or click the "Print Friendly" icon at the top right of the form page, print the form, and return it by fax to 707-521-5292 or by mail to 427 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.

"Wellness has moved beyond being a buzzword to action," said Business Journal Editor and Associate Publisher Brad Bollinger. "Improved health in organizations boosts productivity and morale and saves on operational, insurance and other costs. But helping people live healthier lives is the right thing to do."

Anyone can nominate their company. Organizations nominated will be sent a company questionnaire that will ask for information about initiatives surrounding wellness such as promoting healthy eating, exercise and other programs. Winners will be selected on the basis of qualifications, not the number of nominations received. Only one nomination is necessary to participate in the application process.

Companies must have a location in Sonoma, Napa or Marin counties. Supporting information may accompany the form but will not replace the nomination form.

Winning companies will be recognized at our Health Conference in November and be featured in a special pull-out publication devoted to health care in the North Bay on November 14.
