SEBASTOPOL -- The Palm Drive Healthcare District has received proposals from five health care organizations for possible affiliation as the 37-bed hospital overseen by the district seeks a larger entity to assist in providing long-term financial stability.
In August, the district sought proposals from seven health systems after it had been in earlier talks with Roseville-based Adventist Health. Recipients included the Marin Healthcare District, which oversees Marin General Hospital and recently affiliated with Sonoma Valley Hospital; St. Joseph Health System–Sonoma County; Adventist Health; University of California, San Francisco; Sutter Health; Catholic Healthcare West; and HealthTech, the current operator of the hospital.
The recent proposals came from Marin General, St. Joseph's, Catholic Healthcare West, HealthTech and Adventist Health.
The Palm Drive Board will consider a course of action on the proposals at its meeting tonight, and a decision is expected around early November.
