Economic Development

Sandy Person of Vacaville was one of two named as the 5th State Senate District’s 2012 Women of the Year by Sen. Lois Wolk.  Ms. Person has worked in economic development and real estate for more than 25 years, currently as the president of the Solano Economic Development Corporation. She is also a community volunteer and has worked with NorthBay Healthcare Advantage, Solano College Theatre Association and the Travis Regional Armed Forces Committee and Travis Community Consortium.Education

Russell Scott has been named dean of education of The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone.  He will oversee faculty and staff on the education team, direct the development and delivery of the curriculum, and lead the support of students enrolled in the campus's degree and certificate programs. Chef Scott was previously an associate professor at the college's Hyde Park, NY, campus from 1998 to 2005.  Chef Scott was also executive chef of the Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere, FL, and at the Hotel Nikko in Los Angeles and the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach. He is also the proprietor of the Gore-Scott Hospitality Partnership, which consists of restaurants and wine shops in Florida, New York, California and Colorado.Health Care

Kim Trumbull, RN, MHA, currently the CNO of Kaiser Permanente’s Roseville Medical Center, has been named Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer for Kaiser Permanente’s Vacaville Medical Center. Ms. Trumbull joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009 as the adult service director at Kaiser Roseville and was soon promoted to chief nursing officer in 2010. Previously, she was the chief nursing executive at Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo, where she led the re-engineering of the patient flow process and the development of clinical leadership. Ms. Trumbull received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from San Jose State University and her Master’s in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.Insurance

Robert King of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company was named to the board of The California Workers' Compensation Institute. In addition to electing 15 insurer members, CWCI for the first time ever has elected two self-insureds -- one private and one public -- to serve as board members.
