PETALUMA — Intelisys Communications, Inc., a distributor of business telecommunications and data services, said it reached a definitive agreement to acquire one of its service providers, Las Vegas-based Cloud Services Coalition, owned by Terrapin Solutions.
The acquistion would create a new business unit, Intelisys Cloud Services and Complex Bids. The unit will continue to fulfill the charter of Cloud Services Coalition and integrate the legacy SWAT and collaboration sales programs from Intelisys, according to the company.
The acquisition is scheduled to close May 1. Intelisys currently employs 48, and Cloud Services Coalition, eight.
The new Intelisys business unit will focus on supporting sales partners through the entire cloud sales process including technical, business and application discovery, solution design, project management and turnkey onsite installation and training. Terrapin Solutions will remain a separate entity, fully owned by Andrew Pryfogle, while the CSC team will be integrated into Intelisys. Mr. Pryfogle will lead the unit as Intelisys senior vice president and general manager.
“Andrew has assembled a world-class team at CSC of consultative sales professionals and cloud engineers focused on designing and delivering winning cloud solutions,” said Jay Bradley, president of Intelisys. “As a turnkey cloud services integrator, CSC is already doing the heavy lifting on complex cloud solutions for a growing base of channel partners, and has already provided over 150 Intelisys sales partners with training, sales assistance and customer support.”
SMB spending on cloud computing will reach $100 billion by 2014, according to CRN figures cited by Intelisys.
“Intelisys is staking its claim as the go-to master agent for all things cloud with this acquisition,” Mr. Pryfogle said. “Building on the success we have had as partners over the last 18 months, no other company in the channel is better positioned to enable agents to profit from the pivot to the cloud. I am thrilled for this amazingly talented CSC team to now be a part of the best-of-the-best Intelisys partner community, and now the home for the channel’s top-producing Agents in the cloud.”
“On behalf of my partners Rick Dellar and Dana Topping, and the entire Intelisys team, I want to welcome Andrew and his CSC team to the most amazing and professional Partner community in the channel,” said Intelisys Co-Founder Rick Sheldon. “Based on the remarkable results we have already achieved with the CSC team as partners in terms of building the Cloud funnel and closing key deals, we are really excited to have them join Intelisys as full time colleagues. For them, for our Sales Partners, and for a whole new group of very sharp Cloud service providers this is the beginning of something very big,” Sheldon added.
Started in 1994, Intelisys (www.intelisys.com) is said to be the only telecom master agency focused exclusively on supporting the channel’s top-producing sales agents. The company specializes in providing a broad suite of telecom value-based solutions to ensure the top-producing agent’s success. Intelisys services include a complete selection of carrier voice and data, cloud, cable, collaboration services, wireless and wired access, auxiliary services such as voice and web conferencing, and Intelisys’ proprietary telecom asset management tool, Audex.
Cloud Services Coalition, formed more than a decade ago, is a collaborative effort of like-minded cloud services integrators nationwide. It migrates customers to the cloud telephony (hosted VoIP, SIP trunking, call centers), cloud computing (desktop as a service, software as a service), cloud infrastructure (virtualized servers, cloud storage, hybrid cloud, dedicated co-location, disaster recovery) and managed services (outsourced IT and helpdesk).
