Fireman’s Fund expands entertainment division into Canada

    NOVATO — Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company announced it would further expand its North American entertainment division by partnering with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, an Allianz affiliate company in Canada.

    The new team of underwriters will be led by Lynne Pepper, who has more than 20 years experience as an entertainment underwriter. The team will focus on key segments that include film, television, special events, music, contingency and documentary, industrial, commercial and education, or D.I.C.E., coverages.  The team will also include entertainment underwriting veteran Natalie Reynolds and customer service specialist Robyn McMahon. The team previously worked at Travelers Canada.

    “Our expanded global footprint enhances our ability to understand a diverse and increasingly global entertainment marketplace and provide unparalleled expertise, service and creativity to our customers,” said Lauren Bailey, vice president of entertainment at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. “Fireman’s Fund is committed to expanding its industry leading entertainment business by continuing to invest in its global capabilities and talent.”

    With the addition of the team in Canada, Fireman’s Fund said it has more than 90 entertainment underwriters, customer service, claims and risk services experts in Burbank, Santa Monica, Dallas, Minneapolis, New York City, London, and now Toronto to serve its agent and broker customers and their clients.  

    Earlier this year, Fireman’s Fund announced the addition of Terry Rybicki as head of entertainment distribution and agency management, and Ian Galloway as head of entertainment claims and risk services.

    Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty will handle all aspects of Canadian entertainment business through appointed entertainment agents and brokers. Novato-based Fireman’s Fund is a a member of the Allianz Group, one of the world’s largest providers of property and casualty insurance.
