Burr Pilger Mayer, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms on the West Coast, announced that shareholder James  Andersen is receiving a distinguished award from the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA Society) for “Outstanding Course Materials” for his two-part course, “Business Valuation Fundamentals.” For 30 years, Mr. Andersen has specialized in business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning and various litigation support services.  He has been involved in more than 1,000 business valuations, litigation assignments and has testified as an expert witness throughout California.

Laura Schifrin

Laura Schifrin was hired as an account executive at Five Star Productions, a full service event management, design and production company based in Napa. She has over 10 years experience in production, most recently at George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic. Through her work as a producer for ILM, Ms. Schifrin developed and co-produced commercials for premier clients, such as BMW, Cisco Systems, Energizer, Gap, IKEA, MTV, Nike, Pepsi and Toyota.

Vickie Fogleman

Vickie Fogleman has joined Wells Fargo Insurance  in Petaluma in the employee benefits office.  She has over 5 years of employee benefits insurance service experience.  In her new position, account coordinator, she will mainly focus on proposal generation for new and renewing clients for eight employee benefit executives.

Wine Industry

Chandon has announced the appointment of Lori Narlock to its marketing team. As site event and wine communication manager,  Ms. Narlock will work with both Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard in the Napa Valley. In her new role, she will manage on-site events at Domaine Chandon and Newton as well as develop content for communication tools for both wineries. She will also lead public relations efforts for the Michelin-starred étoile Restaurant. Prior to joining Chandon, Ms. Narlock was the public relations manager at Wilson Daniels for five years.
