Community First Credit Union has launched a new program for debit card users, allowing automatic access to perks from local businesses participating in the Sonoma County GoLocal Cooperative. The program will allow members to receive discounts and freebies that were formerly only available by using the special “GoLocal Rewards Card.” Existing debit card users were automatically enrolled in the program as of July 2. Existing users of the GoLocal Rewards Card can merge their account with their Community First debit card through an online form, available at www.sonomacounty.golocal.coop/CFCU/rewards.Awards

Assemblymember Jared Huffman, representing Marin and southern Sonoma counties, selected Petaluma’s Enphase Energy as recipient of his “Sustainable North Bay Award.” The democratic assemblyman chose Enphase in recognition of the company’s commitment to clean energy and its success as an emerging green business during these challenging economic times. Democrasoft, Inc. (OTCBB: DEMO), the Santa Rosa-based developer of the online Collaborize Classroom education software, announced the completion of a $500,000 interim funding private placement; most of the securities were sold to existing investors. The company sold a total of $500,000 of two year 10% convertible notes to fund current operations.  Payment of the notes is secured by all of the Company's intellectual property.  If all of the notes and accrued interest are converted at the $.08 conversion price, the company would issue approximately an additional 7,000,000 shares of its common stock. In the announcement, Democrasoft noted that it has averaged over 450 percent growth worldwide in new accounts during a traditionally slow period, versus the same period last year.Retail
