ST. HELENA -- Jack Daniels, who co-founded Wilson Daniels four decades ago, has returned to the company as interim chief executive officer, the fine-wine sales and marketing agency announced Thursday.
“Bringing Jack back to the company at this time allows us to combine the heritage of the company with a diverse portfolio while we develop a new strategic vision for the future,” said Vern Underwood, board chairman.
"I am looking forward to once again working with the company’s prestigious producers and industry partners,” Mr. Daniels said. He and Win Wilson started the organization in 1978.

Davies, Clos Pegase, Gainey Vineyard, Ponzi Vineyards, WillaKenzie Estate, Lancaster Estate and Roth Estate; import producer partners Ceretto, Campo di Sasso (Insoglio and Mount Nelson), Castello di Volpaia, Prelius, Indue, Royal Tokaji, Château Simard, Tardieu-Laurent and Kumeu River.
The organization has been the exclusive importer for Domaine de la Romanee-Conti for more than 30 years and Domaine Leflaive for 14 years.
This year, Wilson Daniels has added seven imports to its portfolio: Domaine Laroche, Mas la Chevalière, L’Avenir and Viña Punto Alto from Laroche, Testamatta and Casamatta from Bibi Graetz, Barrymore Wines, and Maison Pierre Sparr Successeurs.
