On July 12 the Santa Rosa Planning Commission voted 6-1 to approve redevelopment of the vacant Gottschalks store at Coddingtown regional mall in Santa Rosa as a single-story Target department store.

That came only after a vote the previous month to approve it was brought back for reconsideration twice partly over commissioner questions and opponent accusations about the number of part-time jobs planned for the store.

It’s nothing to Brag about Santa Rosa! Not my idea of Future Forward looking ! Not my Idea of Re-Visioning the 1/2 mile Radious of the SMART RAIL North Station Area!!

Seems less pavement, less cars, less big box multi-national corps is approriate!

Seems more approriate to invite in Local/Regional Start-ups! To invite in Mixed-Use say 6 stories tall of Live-Work Residential/Commercial Street Level Shops IE: Density Development While Promoting a Quality of life around an urban village where theres Bikability/Walkabilty, Pedestrian Friendly & Green Openspace! You have Failed in COMMUNIY DEVELOPMENT REDESIGN BIG TIME!

People can not accept a job from someone, agree on wages, then complain about thier Employer.

People need to take some responsibility for themselves.

You are where you are in life because of the way you think. How are your ideas working out for you?

One’s labor is thier own personal Commodity. When you take a job, you have sold your Commodity of labor. Your employer is your Customer. If you are unhappy about your wages, then increase the value of your Commodity of labor.
