Net101, a Santa Rosa-based Internet consulting company that began in 1995 in Southern California, has restarted its consulting services after 12 years devoted to managing BargainTravel.com. In those years, the site was highly ranked as an independent travel website and was highly featured on Google searches. Net101 works with small businesses to assist them with their ongoing customer communication and retention through text and email lists, coupon and discount offers and strategic marketing planning.
YWCA Sonoma County announced that $200,000 was raised at its signature annual fundraiser, “Women, Wine and Cheese,” held at the beginning of summer 2012. The live auction raised over $76,000 and the silent auction raised more than $8,200, while a raffle for a diamond tennis bracelet donated by Bennett Valley Jewelers raised over $15,000. YWCA donors pledged nearly $47,000 to empowering women who are ready to make a break from their abuser and pursue a life free from violence. Dawn and Chris Benziger donated the final amount to the cause, making the total raised $200,000.
Council on Aging, in partnership with G&G Markets, is pleased to introduce Stagé: a chef-created menu of entrees and side dishes prepared fresh daily. These ready to heat and eat meals are available at both Santa Rosa and Petaluma G&G Markets, in the deli case. Proceeds from each meal will benefit the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program, feeding seniors in Sonoma County.
Bank of Marin will host the 19th annual Spirit of Marin Awards luncheon on Friday, Sept.28, at the historic St. Vincent’s School for Boys in San Rafael. The yearly event recognizes Marin business leaders and companies for their philanthropic contributions and community commitment, as nominated by the twelve participating Marin County-based Chambers of Commerce. Recipients include Josh Kalkhorst, Morgan Hall, Paulette Cass, Dana King, Larry Chu, Kenneth Brooks and Connie Pelissero as “business citizen of the year,” Hennessy Funds and Rayner Landscaping as “small business of the year,” Circle Bank and San Rafael Joe’s as “large business of the year” and additional awards to Harvey Rogers of Tiburon and Gary Ireland of West Marin.
