Spaulding adds two attorneys

Santa Rosa law firm Spaulding McCullough & Tansil, LLP, brought on two new attorneys, Richard Hicks and Jocelyn Yeh Lin.

Mr. Hicks, who has been an attorney for 34 years, specializes in civil litigation and trials, with a focus on real estate, construction, business, trust, probate and insurance disputes. He has also developed a practice that focuses on real estate, construction and transactional law.

He started practicing in 1978 in San Francisco then moved to Sonoma County in 1982 to join the Spridgen firm. He later worked for James, Gack & Freeman, becoming partner in 1986.

Ten years later, Mr. Hicks and Larry Bernheim formed Bernheim & Hicks. He joined Spaulding shortly after Mr. Bernheim retired.

Ms. Lin specializes in business transactions, focusing on debt and equity financing that involves corporate securities, municipal bonds, convertible notes, venture capital and secured loans.

Previously, she was a public finance associate at Nixon Peabody LLP in Washington, D.C., and a corporate associate at Gunderson Dettmer, LLP in Menlo Park.
