    The California Small Business Association announced Leland Fishman joined its board of directors. Mr. Fishman is owner of the Petaluma-based Fishman Supply Company, which supplies janitorial, paper, packaging and office products throughout the North Bay. The company has annual sales of more than $10 million, 35 employees and was founded in 1967.

    Health Care

    Mark Friedman, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee arthroscopy and shoulder, hip and knee replacement, has joined the practice of Sebastopol Orthopedics and the medical staff of Palm Drive Hospital. Dr. Friedman, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, comes to Sebastopol from Gig Harbor, Washington, where he practiced for six years with Harbor Orthopedics. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, in Ann Arbor.


    Tom Higgins

    The Tug McGraw Foundation appointed Tom Higgins to its board of directors. Mr. Higgins is the head of operational control and head of military/veterans affairs at JPMorgan Chase & Co., having joined JPMorgan Chase in January 2011 following  a career with the federal government. He worked closely with the military, foreign policy, national security and intelligence communities around the world and retired from the Senior Executive Service in December 2010. At JPMorgan Chase and Co., Mr, Higgins is responsible for security, cyber security, aviation, business resiliency, business intelligence, operational control, crisis management, and third party oversight as well as military and veterans affairs. Mr. Higgins is a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the Executive Committee at JPMorgan Chase & Co. 

    Residential Real Estate

    Kacie Ricker

    Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced that Kacie Ricker, senior marketing manager for the company, has been named the new regional vice president of marketing. In her new role, Ms. Ricker will oversee all of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s marketing operations in Northern California, Colorado and Utah, reporting to Kevin Kay, chief operating officer for the company.


    Calix of Petaluma announced the addition of telecommunications industry veteran Kevin DeNuccio to the company’s board of directors. Mr. DeNuccio has held leadership positions at global companies such as Metaswitch Networks, Redback Networks (now Ericsson), Cisco Systems, and Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), and has 25 years of experience. Since February 2010, Mr.  DeNuccio served as CEO of Metaswitch Networks, leading the company’s west coast expansion, two acquisitions, and growth in the global telecom market.


    Jordan Vineyard & Winery has appointed Greg Miller to the position of director of wine. Mr. Miller brings more than 15 years experience in wine service, education, viticulture, and both classic and contemporary winemaking to the newly created position, having most recently worked in viticulture and wine education at Quintessa in Napa Valley.  He attended the University of California at Davis’s viticulture and enology program and is  a 2004 graduate of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he majored in beverage management with an emphasis on wine, served as president of the UNLV Wine Club and began his studies with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
