Allen Wine Group LLP, a wine industry business advisory service and CPA firm, appointed Bill Atwood as general partner. Prior to joining Allen Wine Group, Mr. Atwood spent a decade at the CPA firm of Dal Poggetto & Company in Santa Rosa, where he specialized in winery clients. During his tenure at Dal Poggetto, he was promoted from staff accountant to senior accountant and ultimately to manager. A graduate of Sonoma State University, Mr. Atwood is a licensed CPA and a member of both the AICPA and the California CPA Society. Before his CPA career, Mr. Atwood was in the U.S. Navy, where he flew as a sensor operator.
Sunergy, Inc. appointed of Gary Houck of Napa to its board of directors and to the Sunergy management team. He has over 30 years of international business experience and has held roles including being the former vice president of sales and marketing of Makita Power Tools, North America, where he led a sales team of over 200 people. He also was founder and President of Chicago-based, MSA LLC.
Carlton Jacobson has been appointed vice president of finance for the St. Helena Region for Adventist Health’s Northern California Network. Mr. Jacobson worked in the accounting and business fields, in laboratories, nursing homes and retirement centers before he began his career in hospitals, accepting a position as controller with Valley Community Hospital in Santa Maria. Mr. Jacobson later worked as controller with Simi Valley Hospital and Health Care Services. In 2000, he assumed the position of CFO, VP of finance with Adventist Health-affiliated Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits. In addition, Mr. Jacobson currently holds the role of VP of Finance with St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake. He will be based at St. Helena’s Napa Valley campus.
Paul Selivanoff has been appointed vice president of finance, revenue management and physician services for the Northern California Network for Adventist Health. Mr. Selivanoff brings more than 18 years of hospital experience in finance and information technology to his new position. Mr. Selivanoff graduated from the University of Central Florida and has worked in several hospitals across the nation. He is an accomplished co-author, author and presenter. Mr. Selivanoff will be based at the Northern California Network Revenue Cycle Center in Santa Rosa.
Tricia Williams has accepted a new position with the St. Helena Hospital Region for Adventist Healh, becoming the regional vice president of behavioral medicine and population health. Ms. Williams will have oversight of behavioral health services at the Vallejo and St. Helena Napa Valley campuses as well as population health services across the Northern California Network. Ms. Williams began her career in health care working for Loma Linda University Medical Center. She then joined Community Psychiatric Centers, an international for-profit behavioral medicine hospital system, as director of marketing. She later became the director of business development for Valley Health System, the largest health care district in California, where she developed and implemented plans to open a new psychiatric unit. Ms. Williams joined St. Helena in 2006 as vice president of business development and marketing, where she launched the Coon Joint Replacement Institute and the NoWaitER campaign. In 2010 she accepted the role of vice president of operations and planning for SHNV and the region.
Gastroenterologists Sumit Kohli, M.D., Paul W. Hornberger, M.D., R. Logan Faust, M.D., and Richard M. Auld, Jr., M.D., have joined Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health network. The four specialists in gastroenterology are located in offices at 1210 Sonoma Ave, suite B, in Santa Rosa.
Art Peck, the current president of Gap North America, has been appointed president of the new Innovation, Digital Strategy and New Brands Division. He will guide the development and growth of the Petaluma-based Athleta and Piperlime brands.
Christopher Huber has been named director of private client sales and marketing for Hanzell Vineyards. Before joining Hanzell Vineyards, Mr. Huber led direct to consumer business at Cakebread Cellars and Foley Family Wines. He also worked with Marriott International for 10 years prior to running his own training and development business for seven years.
