    Efren Carrillo

    The California State Association of Counties has elected Sonoma County Supervisor Efren Carrillo to serve as second vice president. He was officially installed on Nov. 29 during the association annual meeting in Long Beach. His term will cover 2013.

    Technology

    Napa-based Attracta announced the addition of David Koston as chief technology officer. In his new position, Mr. Koston will oversee Attracta’s core technology development across all business units. Mr. Koston has been working in the hosting industry since the late 1990s. He previously served as vice president of operations at cPanel. After cPanel, he started Koston Consulting, where he helped companies launch new customer-centric products such as GlobalSign’s OneClickSSL for cPanel.

    Wine

    Seguin Moreau Napa Cooperage hired Marion Ghiringhelli to join its sales team, in a new position handling oak alternative products. Ms. Ghiringhelli will be responsible for Seguin Moreau’s oak alternatives sales and marketing in all of North America. A native of France, she was raised in Bordeaux and graduated from Université Michel de Montaigne and then Ecole supérieure de Commerce de Bordeaux-Ecole de Management. Ms. Ghiringhelli has been in wine industry sales for more than 10 years; most recently she spent five years specializing in oak alternative products.

    After seven years with the Napa Valley Vintners, Terry Hall announced he is leaving to start his own communications, branding and event planning business called TH|ink. The Napa Valley Vintners will be his first client.
