Codding CEO joins board of Summit State Bank

SANTA ROSA — Brad Baker, president and chief executive officer of Rohnert Park-based Codding Investments, the developer of Coddingtown regional mall and Sonoma Mountain Village, joined the board of directors of Summit State Bank (NASDAQ: SSBI).

He began his role on the board Feb. 25.

“We welcome Mr. Baker as a director,” said board Chairman Allan Hemphill, in the bank’s announcement. “His extensive experience and dedication to our local business and nonprofit community is incredibly valuable and appreciated by Summit and our board.”

Codding has investments in commercial real estate, a commercial construction company, alternative energy and mixed-use residential development. Mr. Baker is also co-founder and chairman of Community Fuels Inc., an alternative-energy company.

Mr. Baker formed the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster in 2006. He also serves on the board of high-performance air filter manufacturer Aspen Air Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from San Diego State University.
