NAPA -- La Saison Napa Valley opened a commercial kitchen in Napa to support its custom-events business as well as produce specialty foods.

Chef-owners Jonathan and Natalie Niksa, who started the business in 2007, opened the leased kitchen facility at 748 California Blvd. on April 1.

“Our team is comprised of enthusiastic and warm professionals dedicated to providing the very best in hospitality and food,” they said in a statement. "We strive to create relationships with our clients and are fully committed to our guests for all of our events large and/or small."

La Saison's main retail product is hand-roasted Northern California almonds made with all cold-pressed Arbequina extra virgin olive oil, hickory-smoked sea salt and herbs de Provence and retailing for $16 a pound. It is carried in Napa Valley specialty food stores such as Browns Valley Market, Vallergas, Napa Style, Oakville Grocery, Sunshine Market, Cal Mart and Whole Foods Market.
