Santa Rosa airline traffic rises 16% in May

Year-to-date up 5.6 percent

    Horizon Q400 at STSSANTA ROSA — The number of commercial airline passengers traveling through the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport in May increased 16.6 percent from a year before, according to figures released today.

    The airport reported that its only commercial carrier, Horizon Air, carried 20,719 passengers to and from Santa Rosa.

    Passenger trips in the first five months of this year totaled more than 84,300, an increase of 5.3 percent from the same period last year.

    Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK), offers flights between Santa Rosa and Portland, Ore., Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego.
