Michael Cook, vice president of planning and landscape architecture for Petaluma-based Firma Design Group, received final approval by the State of Nevada for licensure in landscape architecture. As a licensed landscape architect in Nevada, Firma Design Group will be able to assist existing clients with projects in Nevada, municipalities in Nevada with landscape architecture needs, and new clients.
Don Meixsell has earned an Operations & Performance Management Professional certification from ASHRAE, a certification program that assesses professionals who have demonstrated a well-rounded understanding and knowledge of the management of facility operations and maintenance and their impact on HVAC&R systems’ performance. Mr. Meixsell is based in Santa Rosa.
Santa Rosa Junior College Veterinary Technology instructor Dr. Dan Famini was among those honored this year by the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce with an Excellence in Education Award. Outstanding local teachers from each educational level were recognized by the Chamber. Dr. Famini, an SRJC alumnus, is the veterinary technician program coordinator and also an instructor with the program. He was nominated in part for his work on the development of the Veterinary Technician Certificate. Dr. Famini is also currently working to develop the Veterinary Receptionist Certificate as well as a Pre-Veterinary program.

Ukiah Valley Medical Center recently added pulmonologist Daniel Loube, MD, to its medical staff. Dr. Loube will see patients in both the Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center and in the hospital as needed. Dr. Loube’s office is located at 260 Hospital Drive, Suite 103.
The medical center also brought on a new interventional cardiologist, Monica Divakaruni. Dr. Divakaruni is part of Adventist Heart Institute, an integrated heart center made up of cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who serve patients in Lake, Mendocino and Napa counties.
