North Bay restaurants make 2014 Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' list

More than two dozen North Bay restaurants made the "Bib Gourmand" list in the forthcoming new Bay Area edition of the Michelin Guide, which also issues "star" ratings to top restaurants.

A number have been on the list in previous years.

Winners are selected by Michelin's anonymous food inspectors from restaurants that serve two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less, excluding tax and tip. Most importantly, they are the restaurants that the Michelin inspectors frequent themselves.

In the 2014 edition, 22 different types of cuisine are represented among the Bib Gourmands and include restaurants across the region, including San Francisco, the East Bay, South Bay and the Peninsula.
