Moss Adams names Jeff Gutsch to North Bay partner in charge

SANTA ROSA -- Accounting firm Moss Adams has named Jeff Gutsch partner in charge of its Santa Rosa and Napa offices, a role he will assume alongside his responsibilities heading the firm's national winery and vineyard practice, the company announced.

Mr. Gutsch will oversee more than 80 individuals in a number of practice areas. Ty Pforsich will remain regional managing partner for the firm's Bay Area offices.

"Jeff is a strong leader, and he's well known in the North Bay business community," Mr. Pforsich said.

Credited as a driving force behind Moss Adams' acquisition of Napa-based accounting firm Rabanal & Smith in 2012, Mr. Gutsch has been with the firm since 1996. He serves on the Charles M. Schulz Museum's audit committee, and serves on accounting advisory committees for the Sonoma State University School of Business and Economics and for his alma mater, California State University, Chico.

“I’m passionate about this region,” Mr. Gutsch said. “If we can help a greater number of companies navigate their complex tax and accounting challenges and reach their financial and operational goals-and in the process grow a stronger local and business community-I’ll consider my leadership a success.”
