MCE Clean Energy has announced that it is offering $10,000 in solar rebates for its residential customers. MCE will provide twenty $500 rebates, on a first-come, first-served basis, to qualifying customers in Marin and Richmond who install a solar photovoltaic system on their home. Initially, the rebates will only be available to low-income customers but will be open to all MCE customers beginning in March 2013. In order to receive the $500 rebate, customers are required to fill out a simple form verifying that the solar panels were purchased (or building permits signed) on or after November 15, 2013 and provide proof of eligibility for the SASH or MASH program. MCE’s solar rebate forms can be found at mceCleanEnergy.com/solar-rebates. MCE’s solar rebates can be used in conjunction with other Federal, State or PG&E incentives.

Sausalito’s Sanovas, Inc., a life science technology company focused on developing and commercializing next generation micro-invasive diagnostics, devices and drug delivery technologies announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued patent # 8,597,239 for the company’s Abrading Balloon Catheter for Extravasated Drug Delivery. The Abrading Balloon Catheter for Extravasated Drug Delivery is a multi-lumen balloon catheter that features abrasive outer surfaces upon the substrate of the balloons that are intended to abrade tissue and stimulate cellular function to optimize the osmotic uptake of therapeutic agents into target tissues.
Claret Medical, Inc., a Santa Rosa developer of innovative solutions for cerebral protection during structural heart interventions, vascular interventions, and cardiac surgery procedures, announced that it has submitted an investigational device exemption (IDE) application to the US Food and Drug Administration for a multicenter study of the Company’s Sentinel Cerebral Protection System (CPS) for embolic protection during Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). The IDE application is the result of comprehensive and collaborative pre-IDE discussions.
