Welcome to this special report on 17 companies and professionals selected for North Bay Business Journal and Wine Industry Network’s inaugural Wine Industry and WINnovation awards recognizing significant contributions in getting wine from vine to consumer.
“The North Coast deserves to have its own wine industry recognitions,” said Business Journal Publisher Brad Bollinger. “And we think it’s terrific to connect these recognitions with the Wine Industry Network’s second annual North Coast Wine Industry Expo.”
The expo was held Dec. 5, and a reception was held Dec. 2 to honor the awards recipients.
“There’s no disputing the fact that the climate is a big reason why North Coast wines are so spectacular, but ultimately, it’s the people, and their passion, that continue to drive the region’s wine industry to new heights,” said George Christie, president of the Wine Industry Network. “These awards … finally acknowledge and celebrate the individuals and companies that have contributed so much to the region’s success, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”
Winners of the supplier and individual awards were selected from industry nominations.
Also, the Healdsburg-based business-to-business conduit Wine Industry Network chose 10 other companies for WINnovation awards, which recognize problem-solvers whose ingenuity has helped the industry operate more efficiently, effectively and responsively.
We congratulate all our recipients.
