    To our readers,

The Journal’s online reader poll on project labor agreements, an issue that is now before the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, drew an approximately 26,000 votes since it launched Wednesday. Thank you to all of you who participated with your vote on this important issue.

However, based on a review of the voting traffic patterns of the poll, we have concluded that the system in place to ensure a single vote from a single browser was compromised. Thus, the poll results — and any conclusions one tries to draw from them for or against — would be invalid.

Again, thank you to our readers who took the time to vote.

Traffic patterns were heavy on this site because people on both side of the PLA issue sent out emails and posted on Facebook to vote on this poll. These polls are hardly scientific, but it does seem a mild form of censorship when the Business Journal pulls down a poll that is running 2 to 1 in favor of PLAs. At the Board of Supervisors people spoke in favor of the PLAs at the same rate or higher. Curious.

Very weak as I would say, taking down your own poll because you were about to lose.

      (insert sad trombone sound here)

Unfortunately, The NBBJ/ABC underestimated the Unions once again.

By your own count, you should have at least won by thousands of votes…
